Izzie joins the YDG team!

Whilst we’re selfishly sad to see Millie pursue a career in Nursing (congrats Millie!!), we’re excited to introduce our new Front of House, Izzie! ✨

Aside from the warm welcome Izzie will give you to 46 The Calls, here’s a few things to get to know Izzie;

1. What’s your favourite thing about Leeds? 💖
I love Leeds for its history, cobbled streets, and red brick buildings—it still feels like home since graduating in 2019. Being just a short walk from my partner and friends is a big plus compared to the constant M62 traffic!

2. Where’s your favourite place to go in Leeds for food? 🍽️
I’m yet to decide where my favourite place for food is, but I’m loving Wildcraft Bakery in Meanwood for its gluten-free options, a rarity from where I’m from in Morecambe!

3. What hobbies do you enjoy? 🌟
Even though I’ve been busy with moving recently, I normally enjoy reading, yoga, cycling (hills are my nemesis!), wild swimming, and hiking. I used to love snowboarding when I lived in the Alps, and now I’m expanding my film taste beyond Disney/Pixar classics with my partner by slowly going through all of the cult classics to try and expand my horizons! I love going abroad too, but who doesn’t?!

4. Do you have any interesting facts about yourself? 🌍
I studied French and Spanish at university and even though I have lived in France for 3.5 years, I am still better at speaking Spanish! I did my year abroad in Santiago, Chile in 2017/18 and I was lucky enough to travel through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina when I was over there. That year of adventure truly opened my eyes to different cultures, customs and foods (like guinea pig and alpaca in Peru!) and it remains a very special part of my life.
